FAQS

We have children, can they join us on the tour and what do you you charge per child?

Yes! We welcome families and our vehicles can accomodate you all comfortably. Children under six that can share your bed will travel free of charge. You may have to pay for their meals. Children aged between six to twelve years old will be charged at a very reasonable supplementary rate. Children aged over twelve years old will be charged at an adult rate. Each individual hotel has different charges for extra beds and meal supplements. We will discuss this with you when planning your itinerary. Sri Lanka is a magical country for Children to discover and family values are at the core of her culture.

Can you accomodate groups?

Most definitely. Our vehicles are spacey and comfortable for groups as well as couples and individuals. We simply work out the cost of your tour per person.

When is the best time to travel to Sri Lanka?

There are traditionally two monsoon seasons in Sri Lanka although over recent years like most countries there seem to have been some variations to typical weather conditions.

December-March- West coast, Hill country and South Coast

April -September- Ancient Cities, East Coast and North

It is still possible to visit out of season although you can expect weather to be less favourable for some activities. Travelling out of season may be preferable for those who like a cooler climate or wish to avoid the crowds

Can we visit you at your office?

In order to keep our costs down we are a web based company therefore it is not currently possible to meet with us face to face. We are currently contactable by phone and email, we also have a facebook page that you can use to contact us if you wish.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Your in country Driver/Guide will be checking the arrival time of your flight and will be there to collect you if your flight is delayed by a matter of hours. If unforseen circumstances mean that your flight has been delayed for a number of days please contact your UK tour manager as soon as possible to discuss your plans. If you still wish to travel it may mean that we need to revise your itinerary. Because we pay the hotels we use prior to your stay, some charges may be incurred. We will do our best to minimilise any financial loss or further upset. If your flight has been delayed and you are unable to travel our cancellation policy will apply.  Again, we strongly advise that you take comprehensive travel insurance.

Do I need a visa to travel to Sri Lanka?

You will need a visa to enter Sri Lanka. You can get a short stay visa through an online visa application process. In our section "In the Know", we have incorporated a link to make this easier for you.  Be aware that you can no longer get a visa on arrival to Sri Lanka. There is a charge for you visa and this is not included in the price of your tour.

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry to Sri Lanka.

Do I need any immunisations or anti-malarials?

We strongly advise that you speak to your GP about any vaccinations that you may need as advice regarding this is constantly changing. This is particuarly important if you are planning to travel with small children. There are varying opinions on the need for anti-malarials in Sri Lanka, again we advise you to seek advice from your GP or local travel clinic.

Is  it possible to just stay at the beach during my holiday?

Our tours are carefully planned to allow you to experience the very best of Sri Lanka however we are more than aware that sometimes you just need a break! If a week or two on the beach suits you just fine then this is no problem. Our carefully selected beaches and accomodation will suit your every need.

I would like full board accomodation, is this possible?

We only offer Half Board and B&B rates. We don't want you to miss out on impromptu experiences or be limited in your days itinerary because you have to return to the hotel at lunchtime.Dont worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop for lunch and refreshments along the way. Your very knowledgeable driver/guide will be able to reccomend places to suit all tastes.
